Pewdiepie Is Very Upset After Gunman In New Zealand Asked To Subscribe Its YouTube Channel

The horrific incident of shootings that has taken place today at the two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, has left the whole world in a state of shock as 49 people have lost their lives and 20 are said to be seriously injured.

Multiple gunmen entered the mosques and started firing and one of them was also live streaming it on the social media site Facebook. He was using a GoPro device for this purpose and a 17-minute video was uploaded on YouTube as well.

While live streaming the incident, the gunmen also asked viewers to subscribe the YouTube channel of Pewdiepie.

Just to inform, it is a YouTube account of a Swedish YouTuber whose original name is Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellber and he is presently competing with the Indian music company T-series for becoming the most subscribed YouTube channel. Pewdiepie has also been a part of few controversies and has been slammed too for making racist comments and anti-semantic jokes.

He seems to be very upset and uneasy with the fact that his name has been taken by one of the gunmen. He took to Twitter to express his unhappiness, he tweeted:

“Just heard news of the devastating reports from New Zealand Christchurch.

I feel absolutely sickened having my name uttered by this person.

My heart and thoughts go out to the victims, families and everyone affected by this tragedy.”

Facebook and Twitter have already deleted the account of the gunman and are working to remove the video clips of the incident which are getting shared online. Meanwhile, the police has advised the Muslim community to refrain from visiting mosques until the situation gets better.
